The Ohio Materials Marketplace aims to create a closed-loop, collaborative network of businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs where one organization's hard-to-recycle wastes and by-products becomes another organization's raw material.  In addition to diverting waste from landfills, these recovery activities will generate significant cost and energy savings and create new jobs and business opportunities.

Materials Marketplace has joined Rheaply to create the largest circular economy platform for challenging waste and by-product materials.

How It Works

1. Join.  Businesses of any type, commercial and industrial sectors, nonprofits, schools, colleges and universities may create an account and join the Ohio Materials Marketplace.  Membership for individuals is not permitted.
2. Browse the marketplace to see the types of materials that organizations see to acquire in addition to items that are currently available.  Items can be sold or given away.  If you need marketplace assistance including setting up an account contact OMM.
3. Work with other members to give away, sell or acquire materials that would otherwise be discarded.  Marketplace managers can help you complete transactions through the 'Talk to our Team' button on the bottom right of the member screen.  Each transaction is recorded and environmental benefits are calculated.
